About the Job

Taulia is searching for an excited, enthusiastic, and attentive Staff Accountant to join us as we grow our presence in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Globally manage the accounts payable (AP) process, including invoice recording, payment preparation, AP account reconciliation, and vendor inquiries.
  • Manage the Travel and Entertainment (T&E) expense reimbursement process, including reviewing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company T&E policy, conducting regular policy reviews and updates, actively participating in T&E process improvements, and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Own various GL accounts, including recording of transactions, reconciling and reporting.
  • Manage month-end close for certain processes and accounts owned. Continuously work towards improving efficiency and accuracy of financial close.
  • Streamline, automate, develop, and implement best practice accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes when needed.
  • Identify new processes, as the business continues to change and critically analyze variations from expectations.
  • Examine existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in accounting for international operations, ensuring that processes for assigned accounts are consistently applied to key foreign subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to establish and strengthening internal control processes and procedures, including analysis, documentation, identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Liaise with FP&A, sales, account management teams, and other cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs.
  • Work closely with the team to accomplish team and company goals.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

You have proven your ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and complex environment. As the role requires operational diligence as well as a working understanding of accounting concepts, a mix of technical and functional education and experience is preferred. You will have the chance to work autonomously.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or 3+ years of accounting/finance work experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and financial accounting systems – NetSuite is preferred.
  • Ability to manage workload to meet established deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and expand into new areas of responsibility.
  • Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, operate with goal-oriented perspective, and to see projects through to completion.
