About the Job
Taulia is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Observability engineer in the Network Operations Center team. As a member of the team you will work with cutting edge technology to scale our platform worldwide, work cross-functionally with other engineering teams, enhance stability of production services, and incident management processes.
In this role, you will report to the Manager Network Operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in 24/7 Production Support rotation schedule as per team’s policies (Three shifts of 12 hours, as follows: 08:00 - 20:00, 12:00 - 00:00, 20:00 - 08:00).
- Occasional off-hours duties as assigned.
- Provide weekly progress updates.
- Work on assigned projects on a quarterly or bi-yearly basis.
- Stay up to date on all changes in upper and lower environments to support them effectively.
- Create and maintain documentation as assigned.
- Learn and implement new technologies as assigned.
- Intermediate-level experience with relevant monitoring tools used by Taulia.
- Create and update monitors/synthetics of basic complexity.
- Maintain observability systems.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
- Intermediate understanding of Observability.
- Hands-on experience with Monitoring, Trending, and Logging systems knowledge (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, Splunk, VictorOps, etc).
- Advanced understanding of Incident Management and Incident Response Process.
- Basic Understanding of GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Basic understanding of Cloud Security practices (Firewall, IAM, etc) and Compliance (e.g SOC2).
- Familiarity and basic user experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Argo, GHA, etc).
- Basic experience in building Dashboards, query information and creating alerts with minimal guidance from senior team members.
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience in a Saas environment.
- Work often requires analysis and creativity to solve problems – moderate complexity.
- Works in all phases of the observability and monitoring lifecycle.
