About the Job

Taulia is seeking an enthusiastic, capable and collaborative Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and help us scale our security program worldwide, and who can:

  • Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve risks to meet increasing cybersecurity threats
  • Be a key member of the team responsible for responding to security threats and developing a robust defensive posture across the Taulia enterprise

Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to monitor for threats and remediate vulnerabilities on servers and workstations
  • Provide leadership in security incident response
  • Increase security automation and response capabilities
  • Manage and improve SIEM infrastructure (Google SecOps, Splunk, Elasticsearch)
  • Analyze logs and identify indicators of compromise
  • Help build out dashboards / visualizations / alerts using SIEM
  • Work with data to produce actionable metrics and intelligence to drive risk reduction

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

  • 5+ years of experience working in the Information Security field
  • Proficient understanding of Linux systems and networking concepts
  • Experience with Cloud platforms. Specifically, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AWS
  • Experience with a Zero Trust fully remote workforce using technology such as SAML, VPN, MFA
  • Experience securing mobile devices and protecting corporate data through Data Loss Prevention strategies
  • Experience with Google Workspace and securing SaaS solutions for a collaborative distributed workforce
  • Experience with log collection and analysis
  • Experience working with security control frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.)
  • Experience working with information security laws and regulations involving GDPR, CCPA and Data Privacy
  • Comfortable writing scripts for automation and analysis in BASH, Python or similar languages
  • Experience with security monitoring tools, network security, endpoint security, application security
  • Experience in researching security issues and using threat intelligence in threat hunting
  • Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
  • Experience coordinating with teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate risk
  • Ability to operate in high pressure situations and lead with calm and methodical strategies
  • Intellectual curiosity that motivates you to keep on top of emerging security and technology trends
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence and build strong cross-functional alliances
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly using reliable data to support conclusions
  • Eagerness to work collaboratively, autonomously, and proactively

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a regulated (financial, healthcare, etc.) industry
  • One or more security certifications: CISSP, CEH, SEC+, etc.
  • Experience with Docker: Strong understanding of virtualization, and container technologies
  • Knowledge of clustering & service orchestration frameworks/tools e.g. Kubernetes, Helm
  • Knowledge of AI and its security implications

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to): skills, depth of work experience, certifications, geography, etc. Base salary for this position ranges from $135,000-$155,000.
