It is our duty to create and advance a diverse and inclusive company where all Taulians feel they are celebrated. All individuals are welcomed, free to express themselves and rewarded for showing up as authentically every day. By hiring women, people of color, individuals with disabilities, veterans, people of all sexual orientations and from underrepresented and marginalized communities, Taulia will revolutionize fintech.
About the Job
We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Events Manager to contribute to our event strategy and execution across the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of high-impact events—from SAP Taulia’s presence at major proprietary conferences (e.g., SAP Sapphire) to third-party industry trade shows and intimate executive roundtables.
You will act as the primary project lead for US-based activations, working closely with our global events team, Sales, Product Marketing, and our parent company, SAP, to deliver experiences that drive pipeline, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
Ideally you will be East Coast or Midwest based to maximise timezones between Europe- and US-based team mates.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- US Event Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy for the North American market that aligns with Taulia’s business objectives and sales targets.
- SAP Synergy: Serve as the primary liaison for SAP-hosted events in the US (e.g., SAP Sapphire, SAP Connect), securing sponsorships, managing booth presence, and maximizing joint marketing opportunities.
- 3rd Party Events: Identify, evaluate, and manage sponsorships for key industry conferences (e.g., AFP, NeuGroup, NACT) to ensure high-value exposure and lead generation.
Execution & Logistics
- End-to-End Management: Oversee all logistical details for US events, including, where appropriate venue selection, vendor management, booth design, AV, catering, and on-site execution.
- Project Management: Lead the planning process for complex events, maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, and "run of show" schedules to ensure all internal stakeholders (Sales, Execs, Product) are aligned.
- Speaker & Content Management: Collaborate with Content and Product Marketing teams to secure customer speakers, manage session abstracts, and ensure all event content aligns with our core messaging.
Demand Generation & ROI
- Campaign Collaboration: Work with the Demand Generation team to drive pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up strategies that maximize attendance and conversion.
- Budget Management: Build and manage event budgets, tracking all expenses to ensure we stay on target and deliver maximum ROI.
- Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics (leads, meetings booked, pipeline influence) to measure event success and provide actionable recommendations for future improvements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
- Experience: 5+ years of B2B event marketing experience, preferably within the B2B tech industry.
- Event Expertise: Proven track record of managing and maximising attendance at large-scale conferences (e.g., 1000+ attendees) as well as bespoke executive dinners and roadshows.
- SAP Ecosystem: Experience working within the SAP ecosystem or managing sponsorships at major SAP events (Sapphire, TechEd) is highly desirable.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives, sales teams, and external partners.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20-30% domestically for event execution.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce and Marketo for campaign tracking and lead management.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Asana.
