About the Job
Taulia is in search of a collaborative and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. As an Accounting Manager, you will have proven your ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and complex environment. As the role requires operational diligence as well as a working understanding of accounting concepts, a mix of technical and functional education and experience is preferred. You should be able to independently tackle challenges and have a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities

Own an accounting area for all accounting and reporting activities, month-end close

Continuously work towards improving efficiency and accuracy of financial close

Document processes and desk procedures for certain cycles as assigned

Research guidance, propose accounting treatment, and roll out the implementation for technical accounting matters

Establish and implement processes and policies, as deemed necessary, to support existing business activities and growth

Streamline, automate, develop, and implement best practice accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending and rolling out changes when needed

Design and launch new processes, operational and accounting, to support existing business activities based on Company’s growing needs

Contribute to establishing and strengthening internal control processes and procedures, including analysis, documentation, identifying and implementing improvements

Evaluate and implement new system tools and improvements, as deemed necessary

Liaise with internal business partners and cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs

Collaborate with team members to accomplish team’s and company goals and drive projects to completion

Conduct cross-functional projects as required, including the design of end-to-end processes

Review work prepared by others, and provide guidance on improvements

Cross-train with other team members to ensure coverage of accounting areas, as assigned

Contribute to projects, as assigned

Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 8+ years of accounting/finance work experience

Public accounting experience preferred
-
Strong knowledge of Excel and financial accounting systems – NetSuite is preferred, SAP is a plus
-
Experience with developing requirements, reviewing end-to-end processes, and contributing to and validating process and system design on implementations of financial reporting systems

Experience leading transformative projects to drive continuous improvement

Strong end-to-end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet established deadlines

Eagerness to learn and expand into new areas of responsibility
