About the Job
We are looking for a seasoned, dynamic individual who will work arm-in-arm with Taulia's CEO. The Chief of Staff will be our CEO's representative, acting on his behalf in key projects and meetings, as well as identifying, designing, executing, and owning cross-functional initiatives that are high-priority for our CEO and executive team. This will involve building relationships with leaders across Taulia and SAP to ensure timely execution and continuous prioritization, demonstrating poise amidst a high volume of tasks that are both urgent and important, and handling sensitive business information. They will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and member of our leadership team--owning in-person executive offsites and occasionally joining the CEO on his business trips. The ultimate goal of the Chief of Staff is to create capacity for the CEO, execute on his agenda, optimize the inner-workings of the leadership team, and solve problems, even those that are ambiguous, he sees arising in the organization.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities, bring a strong work ethic that is resilient to challenge, and a natural inclination towards action and ownership. The candidate will report to our Chief People and Performance Officer, with a dotted reporting line to our CEO.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, including managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the CEO, ensuring the execution of his priorities.
- Own all CEO communications, including those to senior-most SAP governance committees, Taulia executive meetings and offsites, internal Taulians, customers, and partners.
- Serve as a point of escalation for key issues and decisions, with a bias towards problem-solving.
- Provide executive support in business decisions and meetings, including preparing presentations for external meetings, leading meeting briefings, performing data or financial analysis, and summarizing market trends and latest research.
- Ensure optimal inner-working of the leadership team.
- Provide guidance, insight, and feedback on business strategy, operations, and decisions.
- Support the CEO in managing priorities, ensuring the CEO's focus remains on high-impact activities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience, ideally in a leadership capacity, with a background in consulting, corporate development, or other strategic roles.
- Excellent communication skills that include conveying complex technical and business concepts to diverse teams, adjusting style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels. Proficient in crafting clear, persuasive presentations and facilitating high-stakes meetings and negotiations.
- Excellent organization capabilities that include initiating tasks independently and seeing them through to completion in a largely autonomous work environment.
- Excellent problem structuring and solving skills, as the role requires navigating evolving circumstances, with a focus on maintaining momentum even in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, or unexpected roadblocks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, across small and large organizations, and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited notice.
